RTP stands for Return to Player, expressed as a percentage indicating how much a game pays back to players over millions of spins or hands. For example, a slot with 96% RTP will theoretically return Rp 96 for every Rp 100 wagered over the long term.
House edge is the opposite of RTP—it represents the casino's advantage. If a game has 96% RTP, the house edge is 4%. This is how casinos make profit while still paying out the majority of wagers to players.
Understanding RTP helps you make informed decisions about which games to play. Games with higher RTP give you better long-term value. However, RTP is calculated over millions of plays—short-term results can vary wildly due to variance and luck.
Important: RTP does not predict short-term outcomes. You can win big on low-RTP games or lose on high-RTP games in any single session. RTP is a long-term statistical measure, not a guarantee.
New to online betting? Here are essential terms every player should know.
The percentage of all wagered money a game pays back to players over time. Higher RTP means better long-term value for players.
The mathematical advantage the casino has over players, expressed as a percentage. Opposite of RTP (if RTP is 96%, house edge is 4%).
The amount of money you bet on a single game round or event. Your potential winnings are calculated based on your stake.
The ratio indicating how much you can win relative to your stake. Decimal odds (e.g., 2.50) are standard in Indonesia betting sites.
A betting market that gives one team a virtual advantage or disadvantage to level the playing field. Common in football betting as Asian Handicap.
A bet combining multiple selections into one wager. All selections must win for the parlay to pay out, but odds multiply for bigger potential returns.
Placing bets on a game or match while it is happening in real-time. Odds change dynamically based on game events.
A feature allowing you to settle a bet before the event finishes, securing a profit or minimizing a loss based on current odds.
The total amount of money you have set aside specifically for betting. Proper bankroll management is key to responsible gambling.
The risk level of a slot or game. High volatility means less frequent wins but bigger payouts; low volatility means frequent small wins.
Bonus rounds in slot games where you spin the reels without using your own money. Often triggered by scatter symbols or as a promotion.
The number of times you must bet your bonus amount before you can withdraw winnings. For example, a 30x requirement on a Rp 100.000 bonus means you must wager Rp 3.000.000 total.
